Description: Wallis is young but yet lifeless, he doesn’t have many friends, he doesn’t have a job he enjoys, he dropped out of med school and he has a series of really bad relationships behind him. One day he meets Chantry and they instantly connect, the only downside is she lives with her boyfriend of five years. But should Wallis agree to be her friend even though he has other feelings for her or move on altogether?

My Thoughts: I turned this film on expecting it to be bad because I didn’t have anything else to do and it was just there available to watch, and I remembered seeing a trailer for it once and thinking it looked quite good.

Okay, so firstly at many points during the film there were random drawings flying around and it was hard to take the film seriously when that kept happening.

Secondly there was a scene that was supposed to be really tragic but at the same time was done in a comedy way and made not to seem as bad as it actually was, I really hate when things like this happen in films although to be fair it did have me laughing.

Another thing I found really annoying was that in almost all romantic comedies I see, the girl already has a boyfriend but still falls for the lead male role anyway and it just makes me really angry!

There were some moments when it was really awkward but it was funny awkward and I like it when things are funny awkward, that’s the best kind of funny because you know you’re not alone in your awkwardness.

Unfortunately I have seen so many romantic comedies in the last few days that I knew exactly what was going to happen and all that I had to do was wait for the thing to happen. And not only did I know everything that was going to happen it was the exact same chain of events that have happened in other films so there wasn’t anything particularly original about it at all.

I really want someone somewhere to write a film or a book where there can be two friends of opposite sex and there can be no love interest between them, like it is not impossible to have a friend of the opposite sex without wanting to sleep with them so why not make it possible in fiction?

This was the best film I’ve ever seen Daniel Radcliffe in, I feel like he really suited the role and did it well. And I actually found myself caring what happened to him and the other characters, I wasn’t indifferent to them I actually cared if good or bad things happened to them.

By about half way through I actually found myself enjoying it and looking forward to seeing what happened next (even though I kind of knew) and also for some reason I feel like this film had a really strong message about friendships, relationships and just life in general although to be honest I personally didn’t quite get the message.

This was a good film that didn’t require a lot of attention but at the same time made you laugh and smile. Unfortunately the ending was really cheesy and bad and kind of made me feel like I was watching a Subway advert which wasn’t great.

3 and a half/5 stars.
